Wild Planet is looking for a high-energy copywriter with a passion for creating copy for kid’s products. Our ideal candidate can write strategic, original, targeted copy for product, brand and company needs ensuring brand voice consistency throughout all communication vehicles.
Responsibilities include:
- Communicate/brainstorm with multiple internal teams (marketing, brand design, product & development, etc.) to extract product information and understand product features and positioning to develop:
- brand and product names
- targeted packaging copy
- short product summaries for sales team
- instruction sheets that are technically correct
- catalog copy
- Work with outside legal team to provide final copy and names that are legally correct (trademark, etc).
- Proofing and editing.
- Research new trends in consumer marketplace, in order to suggest improvements in communication
Experience:
- 3+ years experience writing copy that gets attention, communicates message, and stimulates action (experience writing for kid’s products and/or consumer-packaged goods a plus).
- Write effectively using various styles to address different needs and audiences.
- Exceptional grammar, editing, proofreading and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, manage large workload and re-prioritize as needed - deadline oriented.
- Desktop publishing skills.
- Big-picture thinking, patience, perseverance and a good sense of humor.
This position will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting computer network systems (workstations and servers). This position functions under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Information Technology.
Responsibilities include:
- Performs network systems troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose system problems.
- Performs daily maintenance and reports on systems.
- Upgrades network hardware and software components as required per established project guidelines.
- Installs, upgrades, and configures network printing, directory structures, rights, security, and software on file servers in accordance with standardized procedures.
- Provides users with network systems technical support.
- Responds to the needs and questions of users concerning their access of resources on the network.
- Establishes network users, user environment, directories, and security for network systems in accordance with standardized procedures.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation on server and workstation configurations.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date hardware and software inventory.
- Creates task and project procedural documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
